Digital Signage Templates

Ready-made screens you fill in rather than build: menu boards, meeting room signs, KPI tiles, leaderboards, Wi-Fi QR codes, world clocks and more. Connect one to a Google Sheet, an API, an RSS feed or a calendar and it keeps itself up to date.

New templates are published to the signed catalog all the time, and every ScreenTinker server picks them up on its own, with no upgrade needed. This page shows the catalog as it is today.

Event countdown template preview

Guest Wi-Fi template preview

Guest Wi-Fi

Code template No internet needed

Your guest network name and password, large and legible, next to a QR code that joins the network in one scan — with the special characters in names and passwords escaped correctly, so the code actually connects. Made for hotels, cafés, clinics and offices; works as a full screen, a portrait poster or a thin strip. Nothing is fetched: the code is drawn on the screen.

KPI dashboard template preview

KPI dashboard

Code template Live data No internet needed

Big, glanceable metric tiles with progress to target and a coloured change indicator. Feed it a Google Sheet, CSV, REST API or manual table (columns Metric, Value, Target, Unit, Change), or type the metrics in. Fits 1 to 12 tiles in any screen shape.

Leaderboard template preview

Leaderboard

Code template Live data No internet needed

A ranked leaderboard for sales teams, fundraisers, step challenges or game nights: a gold, silver and bronze podium for the top three and animated bars for everyone else. Type the scores in or connect a Google Sheet and let the board keep itself up to date.

Lobby welcome template preview

Lobby welcome

Slide template No internet needed

A calm welcome screen for a reception or lobby: your logo, a headline and a line of detail, with a live clock and date in the building's own timezone and language.

Meeting room sign template preview

Meeting room sign

Code template Live data No internet needed

A door sign for a meeting room: a huge green AVAILABLE or red BUSY band, the current and next meeting, and today's agenda, from any Calendar (iCal) data source. Privacy mode shows "Reserved" instead of titles. Made for a portrait panel beside the door, and works landscape or as a strip too.

Menu board template preview

Menu board

Code template Live data No internet needed

A café, restaurant or bar menu that lays itself out: items grouped by category, prices aligned, tags like V or New, sold-out items greyed. Type the menu in, or connect a Google Sheet or a Manual table and edit prices without touching the screen.

News ticker template preview

News ticker

Code template No internet needed

Your own headlines as a rotating feature plus a smooth scrolling ticker. Full screen it shows both; placed in a thin strip zone it becomes a ticker bar on its own. Works fully offline — the headlines are typed in, nothing is fetched.

News wall template preview

News wall

Code template Live data No internet needed

A magazine-style news wall for any RSS or Atom feed: a large featured story that rotates every few seconds, the next four stories as cards, the feed's title and relative dates. Typographic by design (no remote images), so it works offline. Or type your own headlines.

UPTIME 3036 template preview

UPTIME 3036

Code template No internet needed

An original first-person arcade shooter about the worst on-call shift of the year 3036: every server is down and the datacenter is crawling with bugs. Nobody playing? It plays itself in autopilot demo mode. Click or press a key to take over; walk away and the demo takes back over.

Weather — animated template preview

Weather — animated

Code template Live data No internet needed

A full-screen animated weather scene: the sky, rain, snow or sun follow the current conditions, with a five-day forecast and temperature ranges. Reads one of your Weather data sources; your server fetches the weather, so this template needs no network access at all.

Weather forecast template preview

Weather forecast

Slide template Live data No internet needed

Current conditions and a five-day forecast from one of your Weather data sources. Your server fetches the weather itself; the template only lays it out.

World clocks template preview

World clocks

Code template No internet needed

Two to eight live clocks for the cities you work with — analog, digital or both, with the date, a day/night cue and the hour difference from this screen. Lays itself out as a grid, a portrait list or a thin strip. Nothing is fetched: the times come from the screen's own clock.

How the templates work

Fill in fields, not code

Every template comes with a form: a headline, a logo, colours, the cities for a world clock, the network name and password for a Wi-Fi sign. Slide templates are layouts with no code in them. Code templates are small web apps (animated weather, a leaderboard with moving bars, an arcade game). Both go into playlists, layouts and schedules like any other content.

Live data from the tools you already use

Templates read from ScreenTinker's built-in data sources: Google Sheets, CSV files, REST/JSON APIs, RSS and Atom feeds, iCal calendars (Google, Outlook/Exchange or any .ics link), weather, or a table you type in. Your server fetches each source on a schedule and fills the values into the template, so the screen never calls the API itself. API keys stay on the server and never reach a screen. A Google Sheet needs no Google account or API key: share it as "anyone with the link", or publish it to the web.

Keeps playing offline

A template's code, fonts and images are packed into the page itself, and players cache what they play. If the network drops, the screen keeps showing the last data it had until the connection comes back.

Signed, sandboxed, and kept up to date

The official catalog is signed, and your server checks every package against that signature before installing it. A code template runs in a sandbox: it can't see your dashboard or your account, and it can reach only the internet hosts it declared, which for most templates is none. If we ever withdraw a version, every server that checks the catalog withdraws it too.

Self-hosting?

The library is included with self-hosted ScreenTinker. It is switched off until a platform admin turns it on, and air-gapped sites can import the catalog as a signed offline bundle instead. You can also import your own templates, or contribute one to the catalog.

Frequently asked questions

Do templates cost extra?

No. Templates and data sources are on every plan, including the free plan, and in self-hosted deployments. Plans differ by screen count and storage.

Can I change a template's layout?

Each template has the fields its author exposed. For a custom layout, start from a blank slide with live data tags, or write your own code template and import it.
